We have had an incredible summer with God completely transforming the lives of students. We would like to thank everyone who helped with our summer mission trip to Chicago. It was a great joy to work with children who may never have known the love of our Savior Jesus Christ. We also had a blast shooting “Nerf” guns and worshipping God with every last bit of energy during our Christ In Youth Conference in Illinois. These big events along with the highlight of a 5 gallon Jello eating contest are the memories that will last a lifetime. If you would like to make some memories, friend, and have a greater relationship with God don’t miss out on the upcoming Wildewood Youth Activities.
Upcoming Events:
Wednesday Night Encounter
We will be kicking off our exciting youth ministry on Wednesday nights from 7-8 PM on September 7th and continue to bring you relevant Bible teaching every Wednesday night about things that matter to you. We will have food, fun games, exciting worship, all come together to teach you important messages from God himself. This is a great place to meet friends that will be there for a lifetime and meet the creator of the universe.
High school Discipleship groups will be starting up shortly after we start up our Wednesday night program. If you want to keep the fir going that you started this summer commit to a small group to really help you become what God has planned for you.
We will be starting a new program for Junior High students once a month in September.
Junior High Only CIY’s “Believe”
All Junior High students the moment you have been waiting for all year is finally here! We will be going to Christ in Youth’s “Believe” Conference only for JH Students October 7&8. This incredible conference will be held again in Davenport, IA so you will have to miss out on a half a day of school on October 7th we will be meeting at Willdewood parking lot @ Noon. The cost is $89 plus a fast food meal on the way there. That includes not only the conference but you hotel and 3 meals. If you don’t want to be left behind you need to give Chris McCullison a deposit of $25 and sign up by September 11th. We will have a blast as we worship till we drop, do crazy games, and contests, as well as grow incredibly close to God and others in the youth group. We will also be doing a Pancake Feed Fundraiser to help with some of the cost
Luau Lock-IN with Worship from Nebraska Christian College
We will be having a Luau Lock-IN on Friday night September 30 – Saturday, October 1. The cost will be $5 and it will be lots of late night FUN. Nebraska Christian College will be bringing a praise band for worship and don’t plan on getting a lot of sleep because we plan to Party.
Christ In Youth ‘s Priority 22 Youth Ministry Seminar
Anyone interested in working with our student ministry should contact Chris McCullison (Youth Minister). We will be having an incredible opportunity for training our youth workers at the Christ In Youth “Priority 22” Seminar on September 24 from 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM. This will be a rare learning opportunity to be trained by some great professionals like Gary Zustiak former Youth ministry professor and Guru of Ozark Christian College. We will be happy to pay for the seminar if you are willing to sacrifice your time and energy making a difference in our Youth.
Turning Points for High school
Turning Points High school weekend at Nebraska Christian College will be November 4 & 5.
Turkey Bowl 2006
The Turkey bowl our traditional football competition among the Youth Ministries of Nebraska will be November 19th. It is a battle between teams with a JH and HS division as well as a division for ladies. As always we will deep fry all day every Turkey in Papillion and serve them up fresh for all who participate.
